Brianne is a marine biologist on a mission to reduce the impacts of our food system on the oceans. Fed up with seeing marine mammals entangled in marine debris, turtles caught in plastic bags, and seemingly endless plastic pollution on some of the world’s most remote shorelines, she’s decided to tackle these issues.
When she’s not in the mountains or underwater, Brianne can be found scouting the local farmers markets, baking up a storm, and giving compostable toothbrushes as birthday presents!
Paula is a passionate advocate of social impact ventures has been deeply inspired by the zero waste movement. Equipped with a background in business, she believes in the power of the circular economy to solve our world’s most pressing environmental issues. Paula can be found trying out new recipes, hitting the mountains or beaches and exploring how to minimize waste while travelling!

David has over 25 years experience making the business case for companies to adopt higher standards of social and environmental responsibility. His work experience includes both consulting work as well as direct business experience as a founder and CEO of a number of green businesses, including Sustainability Ventures Group, Wayblaze, and SPUD. David’s goals are to work with businesses, enterprising non-profits and government agencies to implement ground-breaking sustainability initiatives. David focuses his work in five areas: sustainable food systems, sustainable transportation, green buildings, waste reduction, and the sharing economy.
With a creative career spanning Europe to North America, Jane founded Cause + Affect in 2004. Jane has been behind the creation of a set of influential brands and initiatives for clients such as Modo Car Co-op, The Globe Foundation, The Vancouver Art Gallery, Volkswagen and the City of Vancouver. Cause + Affect has also gained a notable reputation for their own public events and initiatives namely FUEL and PechaKucha. As a strategic and creative thinker, Jane’s ability to turn business strategies into brands and relationships is reflected in her client’s impact and success.
